After having dinner with Marta, Nadia and Angela, went to Victoria to pick Isa.
Then we left the luggage home and went to Candem Caipirinha Spiritual Bar to have a drink and talked a little.(Please note, this is a great bar, with paintings at the walls and great music, nice place to relax).
After that went to dance for a while. But everything here closes at 3! (I miss Madrid!)

DAY 70: London revisited
Marta wanted to see all London in 3 days. That´s the reason today´s itinerary was terrible!
Started in Trafalgar Square having some coffee by the fountain. Then we visited the National Gallery, and then, run the Mall for the change of the Guard at Buckingham Palace , but, today there wasn´t a change!
Came back through St. James Park and walked to Westminster Abbey. Then we saw the Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, and took a bus to Picadilly Circus. We walked Picadilly St and Regent St, saw the shops at Carnaby and Oxford St, and to finish the day visited the British Museum.
Hard enough?

Marta arrived here, I picked her up at Victoria tonight and then went to Nadia and Angela´s house to have dinner. This is her first time in London, so, this would be a tourist weekend.

DAY 69: All about Eve
Today, after work, I went to see "All about Eve" exhibition (Art Sensus Galley, 7 Howick Place).
A photography exhibition of Eve Arnold´s work.
She is such an inspiration for photographers. She started her career as a photographer when she was almost 40, and she took some of the most beatiful pictures ever.
She captured the essence and the feelings of the people she portrayed.
The exhibition shows you pictures of celebrities, from the time she documented the making of the films. Nice pictures of Marilyn Monroe, Peter O´toole, Marlene Dietrich, Angelica Houston and many more.
She also travelled a lot, and have some great pictures from Rusia, China, Mongolia, etc.
The series of veiled woman is amazing, because, even when you can´t see their faces, she managed to capture their eyes, their attitude...
One of my favorite pictures is a photograph of a veiled woman in a market, her hands tell her story, I stood there staring at it for almost 15 minutes.
But the most important, she was a curious person.

Curiously
The other day I found this sign on the bus:
I think it´s great to have a campaign to advertise the fact of being a better person. But I found very peculiar the line: "I won´t eat smelly food".
Don´t you think?
I think it´s related to the spicy food that many people has here. Because in London you can have Asian food from wherever you feel like eating.
Some Indian colegues take spicy food for lunch but I think it smells delicious.

DAY 67: I love my microscope!
Another day that just went by. I was all day reporting some blood smears (more than 30 of them), so by the time I left the hospital, my brain just felt as if it had the consistency of a yogurt.
Did my laundry.
Took some cereals.
And now, I have to study and write some paper I´m working on. I don´t really feel like working on it today, but my time here (very sadly), in London, has become limited. So I MUST work on it.
This weekend I shall have some visits!
Marta and Isa are coming!!!
I´m so happy!
(that´s why I have to work today, so I have my weekend off!)
