Lost and found

Today I went to Madrid Lost and Found office (in Legazpi) to pick up Isa´s wallet (stolen from her hangbag a few weeks ago...).

Once there, while the officer went to look for the wallet, I just stared at one woman that worked there and had a big box full of wallets, and she had to classify and put all the information about the lost objects in the computer (I think it could be the most boring job on Earth).

But this place reminded me of Cecilia Ahern´s book "A place called here", where all the lost things and people lived, once they had got lost. And they had to pick up clothes and things from this warehouse, and put up with the fact of never get 2 similar socks.

Back Home

Back home now.
Today´s Marta is on call, so the house is very lonely.

I have to tide all my clothes.
I´m a little nervous to be back at work, and see everybody. Except for my friends!

And on Saturday I´m going to the EBMT, in Geneva. So I have to prepare luggage again!

Malasaña revisited

Great ideas are what makes this world go round, even if they are little great ideas.

So that´s it!, last Saturday we went out around Malasaña. Visited some great bars, some more famous, some more bizarre.

Started out in a little unknown bar called Pablu´s (Luchana st, 12, Madrid), a very dark place, with great Spanish music from the 80-90´s and very interesting people to meet. I had some really great moments there, and I really recommend it.
Moving into the party zone, Tupperware (Corredera alta de San Pablo, 26) is a bar/pub with, what a believe it´s a great kitsch decoration: old TVs with action figures and toys from the 50-60´s inside, Naranjito figures, a roof full of big eyes that keep staring at you, murals of superheros and Ziggy Stardust and a wall where they project some old movies (last Saturday was The Rocky horror picture house). And then the music!, great indie rock-pop and some classics. Sometimes it gets a little crowded for me, but it´s a wonderful place to dance if you get enough space for that.
Just by the Tupperware, El Penta, what a bar!, I mean, I love that place, it´s dark and they play great music (mainly Spanish hits). In its walls Antonio Vega´s lyrics and pictures. It brings back good memories for me. And even if you have to queue for a while in order to get in, it´s worth it. I like it when they are closing and they always play "La chica de ayer" by Antonio Vega.

To end the night out, Moby Dick Club (Av de Brasil, 5). I can´t be objective about it. I love it. I usually go there about twice a month, it´s like home to me. The music, the DJs, the barmans and I don´t now, just the people that goes there.It´s wonderful. And I´ve always had great moments there. Besides that, I live really near, which makes it almost perfect!

Too fast, too furious

I bought my Diana F+ camera one year ago with the goal to take great pictures and in the future,to take an analogic photograph course, but I don´t know why I abandoned it at home for so long...

Bringing up my half of the year resolutions (*), I told myself that I should know how to use it very soon.

And then,  I started searching the web to get information. At last, I found the posibility of Lomography workshops (organized  here in Madrid, http://www.lomospain.com) to train a little with my beatiful Diana F+.

So last Saturday, I woke up early (really early for someone who danced all night night long the night before...), and left for the biggest Car scrap site in Europe (Desguace La Torre in Madrid) to take pictures.

Of course, I´m so clumsy with technology, even if we´re talking about analogic technoclogy, that I have to thank the teachers to be so patient with me. And I have my first Lomo experience. Great people, and great experience (I´d never go to car scrapon my own for example...).

And..., my pics!, I consider I took a few good ones, the rest, I have to polish the technique.

So, now,  all that´s left is taking pictures...

* HALF OF THE YEAR RESOLUTIONS

When you make your New Year´s resolutions, you never imagine that when July comes thay´ll be still resolutions and no facts...

That´s why I use to reevaluating my resolutions when half of the year past, in order to accomplish some of them by the end of December.
