DAY 82: It´s not goodbye, it´s "see you soon"...

Well. What can I say, but: I´m going to miss everybody and everything!

Now, with my huge suitcase and an extra bag (mainly full of books, presents and M&S cookies) have to travel in low cost. I just get tired with the only idea of trevelling back!

But I know I´ll be back soon. And now, I have people to visit.
I´m really happy with my time here. Time went really fast!

Farewell Dinner

I had dinner with Maria, Nadia and Angela at The Freemasons Arm Pub. It´s such a beatiful place, and the dinner and desserts were really good. We had a very nice time speaking Spanish. Iá very sorry I forgot to take any pictures!

Maria gave a farewell present: Amelie and BBC´s Pride and Prejudice!
Best present ever! Thanks a lot, María!

DAY 81: Tooting Blood Centre

Today was my last entire day here in London, as I´m leaving tomorrow (time has gone so fast!).

I went to Tooting Blood Centre to the Red Cell Immunology Lab. I was so impressed! I know it sounds as I´m a freaky, but, sorry, in this subject I am. I was very lucky to be with the scientists all morning. It´s so impressive how they can identify 4-5 diferent antibodies in the same panel. And they have a lot of samples to investigate antibodies against low incidence antigens.
I thank every people in the Lab for being so kind at me and answer to all my questions!

DAY 78: ART

A bigger Picture

Today I went to see David Hockney´s exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

His paintings are so bright and vibrant!

Every landscape makes you feel you´re inside of it. He painted some of the landscapes from memory and some from observation. I was amazed by the Ipad drawings and the films (9 different cameras focusing on different parts of a road filming at the same time).
The photocollages were nice also.

In the tunnels, he painted the same trees in different seasons, and I love to see the Autumm because I could feel the afternoon sun warming my skin just by seeing the painting. The same happened in Hawthorn Blossom, I could feel the perfume of the bloosoming flowers.

I had to see the exhibition twice because I really enjoyed it!

TATE Britain

If you want to see a beatiful museum without the excess of tourists, you should visit The TATE Britain.  I walked Pimlico streets and arrived to the museum.
It was so quiet and calm.

I really like Ophelia (by Millais), I can feel the cold water by staring at it. Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose (by John Singer Sargent) is so cheery, and those are my favorite paintings there.

Italian dinner

I had dinner with Maria and Rita at Jamie´s. I love Jamie Oliver. I watch all his programs when I was in Argentina, and cook some of his recipes as well.

Food was really tasty. We shared some Italian bread and Polenta chips (my favorites!). I had the pumkin culurzone, and the Italian ice-cream bombe.

Very nice place, food and company.

DAY 78: Spring day in Chelsea

What-a-nice-day!!!

Today it was so sunny!!!
And I decided to take a walk around Chelsea. It´s a lovely neighbourhood, full of perfect people and shops. A little posh for me, but it´s beatiful.

I started in Sloane Square, seeing some shops and walking the clean streets with white houses and private gardens.
Kate Spade shop has so beatiful things!, but I can´t afford almost anything!

Then I took King´s Road and reached the Saatchi Gallery. Well, that´s a great space of art, and it´s free! The building is so wide, and the art is modern, with nice sculptures and installations. The shop has some original stuff.
In Duke of York´s square there was a food market, I bought a lime-coconut cupcake and sat under the sun to eat it and see people pass by.
After this break, I walked all King´s Rd, and then went to Thames. You know I love this river, and Chelsea bridges are so elegant, like Albert bridge, it´s so fancy (like Chelsea).

I saw the Justice walk and its nice houses, and then croosed the river to the Battersea Park. It´s so wonderful the Spring!, I really enjoyed this park. There´s a Pagoda by the river, and a lake, and some vintage structures from the Festival of Britain in the 50´s. I looked for Henri moore´s sulpture like half an hour, but it´s by the lake if you want to find it.
The Battersea Power Station is really near this park, and it looks like it´s watching over the people in the park.
The views by the Thames are great.

I crossed again and walked by the river, the Physics Garden already closed, so I continued till the Battersea Power Station, I thought maybe, when I come back to London, it will be different.
Then I went back to Sloane Sq. and took the Underground.
