DAY 49: Harrods´ afternoon

It was a horrible Friday morning. Running against time to finish some paper I was working on. I left the Hospital with my brain feeling like jelly after thinking and studying for long hours in the library.

Phoned my mother to go to Harrods and meet me there. It was the first time she took the tricky London Underground by herself, I thought she was going to get lost, but I was surprised  she was there, waiting in the sidewalk when I arrived.

The first time I visited London, Harrods seemed to me a beatiful and glamorous store. Now, more than 10 years later, it´s not one of my favorite stores. Everything is too adorned for me, even the Diana and Dodi memorial and sculpture. I prefer more opened spaces shops.
But what I really enjoy is going to Harrods to observe the people that´s buying things there. They look so different from me, and I love to see what they´re buying, or what they´re wearing. Those small details nobody ever sees.
The Food Hall is also a great part of visiting Harrods. Everything looks delicious, except the seafood I don´t like. And you can find different teas, chocolates, marmelades and biscuits with nicest tins for package. Like tins decorated with William and Kate´s Royal wedding, or the 60º  Queen´s Jubilee.

Also, this is the first time I took pictures in Harrods, thought it was banned. Here, some pics.
